The Foundation “Stiftung Informatik für Autisten” is dedicated to promoting individuals on the autism spectrum in the world of computer science. The foundation’s intention is to provide comprehensive training programs in IT competences and resources to young people on the autism spectrum, especially those affected by Asperger’s autism, enabling them to find employment in the field of computer science in the regular job market.
In coordination with the educational plan for the regulation on vocational basic training for ‘Computer Scientists EFZ’ in the fields of application development and platform development, as well as ‘ICT Fachfrau/Fachmann EFZ,’ the foundation aims to conduct practice-oriented courses necessary for successful vocational training. To achieve this, the foundation covers the costs of conducting the courses. The foundation operates at seven locations in Switzerland.
Its main goal is to create educational and employment opportunities for individuals on the autism spectrum in the field of computer science and promote integration into the job market. The focus is on the strengths and talents of the target group.
