Training and Labor Market-Oriented Measures

Vocational Assessment

This offer is aimed at people who are seeking to re-enter the workforce, retrain or train in the field of IT.

Duration: 1 – 3 months

Applicants for an education in IT are assessed for their suitability and potential for an apprenticeship in IT in the context of protected workplaces under close supervision.

SERVICES:

  • Providing a daily structure that corresponds to a education and practical work environment.
  • Collaboration and implementation of assignments and projects related to future education or work objectives.
  • Measurement of performance: attention, concentration, learning ability, analytical and logical thinking.
  • Social pedagogical individual coaching.
  • Daily lunch together.

GOALS:

  • Providing information about motivation, cognitive abilities, and social skills, as well as promoting and fostering these aspects.
  • Determining resilience, performance capability, stability, and consistency.
  • Assessing training and integration opportunities into the primary job market.
  • Reporting and analyzing the results as a basis for decision-making in the further course of action.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • The training and integration offers are aimed at neurodiverse young adults, e.g. people on the autism spectrum and/or with an accompanying diagnosis such as AD(H)D, who receive financial support by the IV.

The results are compared on the basis of existing results and placed in relation to the EFZ IT Specialist, EFZ Business IT Specialist and EFZ ICT Specialist training objectives.

The preparation period is intended to provide the training applicant with a daily structure that corresponds to that of an apprenticeship and provide information about technical skills, motivation and social skills in connection with the desired IT training.

Vocational preparation (for IT training)

The offer is aimed at individuals who, within the scope of protected workplaces and under close supervision, are prepared for the planned training in IT.

Duration: 1 – 12 months

SERVICES:

  • Providing a daily structure that corresponds to a education and practical work environment.
  • Collaboration in the realization of assignments of all relevant training objectives and specializations.
  • Determining resilience, performance capability, stability, consistency and logical thinking skills.
  • Collaboration in workshops on topics of the training modules of the vocational schools
  • Tests and support in mathematics and German
  • Training and testing of social skills
  • Social pedagogical individual coaching and close guidance.
  • Daily lunch together

GOALS:

  • Preparation for the professional environment of the intended IT training
  • Observing and strengthening social skills
  • Increasing performance, resilience, stability and consistency.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • The training and integration offers are aimed at neurodiverse young adults, e.g. people on the autism spectrum and/or with an accompanying diagnosis such as AD(H)D, who receive financial support by the IV.

The results are compared on the basis of existing results and placed in relation to the EFZ computer scientist (application development or platform development) and EFZ ICT specialist training objectives.

Labor market-oriented preparation
(AMOV)

This offer is aimed at people who have a realistic chance of re-entering or integrating into the primary labor market in the field of IT. Ideally, they should already have an EFZ qualification in IT, adequate training or professional experience.

Duration: 3 – 6 months

The job market-oriented preparation period should provide a daily structure that corresponds to that of a job in the primary labor market. Assignments in projects and in day-to-day business consolidate professional skills, motivation, social and personal competencies in connection with the desired employment.

SERVICES:

  • A predetermined daily structure with a minimum 5 hour attendance per day.
  • Collaboration in the realization of assignments of all relevant training objectives and disciplines.
  • Foster and reinforce personal and social competences through ongoing training and assessments.
  • Social pedagogical individual coaching
  • Determining resilience, performance capability, stability, consistency and logical thinking skills.
  • Daily lunch together.

GOALS:

  • Preparation for the professional environment of the desired IT job
  • Promoting and strengthening social skills
  • Increasing resilience, stability and consistency
  • Expansion of professional skills
  • Promoting work capability.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • The training and integration offers are aimed at neurodiverse young adults, e.g. people on the autism spectrum and/or with an accompanying diagnosis such as AD(H)D, who receive financial support by the IV.

Support is provided to learners who

  • are aiming to continue and/or complete their training in the primary labor market.
  • are preparing to enter the primary labor market after completing their training or following work training.
  • take advantage of this support in their search for a job in the primary labor market.

Coaching

The offer is aimed at graduates of our training program, who receive further support in the form of coaching for integration into the primary job market in the IT sector.

Duration: as required

SERVICES:

  • Direct support at the training or workplaces of graduates.
  • Support in the preparation of application documents, strengths/weaknesses profiles and developing areas of expertise in the currently learned profession of a computer scientist.
  • Support in preparing and training for job interviews.
  • Support in acquiring a suitable position in the primary labor market.
  • Vocational trainers and the social pedagogue are the primary contacts for the apprentices and future employers.

GOALS:

  • Integration into the primary labor market
  • Promotion of the learner’s action and decision-making skills.
